Marketing - How to get and increase sales in your business!


First some general statements.
  • Most businesses start small. So, it’s okay and indeed better to start small. Your risks are smaller and you can build momentum as the business creates and keeps its customers.
  • Motive matters. Those that succeed begin with the end in mind? What really is your motive for that business? Motives like "To make money" or "It is what I studied in School" for example are not usually ideal.
  • About 80% of small businesses die in first five years. 80% of the 20% that survive die within the second 5 years. Meaning, only 4 out of 100 survive beyond ten years and become big. 
Most people think of marketing only as selling and advertising. Though these two are key ingredients of marketing, marketing does more than selling and advertising. Marketing is, knowing and understanding the customer’s needs so well that the product or service offered practically sells itself.
Marketing is both an Art and a Science. Marketing knowledge (science) certainly helps to improve marketing practice (art).
There are significant challenges with marketing these days, because the customer’s needs are more sophisticated and constantly changing. This trend is enhanced by increased competition and reducing margins in the marketplace. But all of these also create opportunities for the discerning.

  2. Time is flying like a snappy flyer feathered animal. It is passing very rapidly and we are not veritable about our time. We should make the time control useful link to manage our beginning and end the activities I wish it could be possible in next couple of years.
