It is TIME!
Contrary to what most people
think, being “rich” is not about money, rich is about life. And life if you
really think of it is made up of one thing, Time.
Everyone has a challenge
with time. The details of your situation may be different, but the result is predictably
similar. Most of us feel trapped by the relentless, ever-diminishing nature of
time, and we often feel doomed to work more than we should to accomplish less than
we could. Most people have accepted this as their lot in life, but that is not
the way it has to be.
But do you know that
managing time is a waste of your time?
It is like chasing the wind,
or trying to tie the wind to a tree. While trying to keep up with time and its
limitations we miss the most important things in life and often our existence
is truncated. The truth is that some things just cannot be done without our
slowing down: love, conversation, food, family, friends, leisure, exercising and
admiration of nature. In our rush to manage time we are less capable of
appreciation, enjoyment, good health, sustained concentration and good memory
to mention a few.
What you invest your time in
defines who you are. There is no way around this. If you devote sixty, seventy,
eighty hours a week to anything, that thing will certainly play a big role in characterising
you, often the biggest role.
Imagine there is a bank that
credits your account each morning with N86,400. Every evening whatever part of
the balance you fail to use during the day is deleted. What would you do? Draw
out every kobo and use it well, of course!!! Each of us has such a bank - Its
name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Invest the
day's deposits well, or the loss is yours.
I urge you to introspect to
see how you could bring the most contentment, happiness and benefit to yourself
and others by managing your time better. The clock is running.
