Are you Dependable?

Can anyone depend on you?

Nothing is of higher compliment than to have somebody say to you, “I can depend on you”.

We leave in a society where following through on anything is not greatly valued, but this is an essential ingredient in building sustainable relationships in all fields of endeavor.

You can’t reach that level without consistency in your life.

People that are going to be successful for a long time have learnt to be consistent in their conduct, in their speaking and in their relationships. They are dependable.

Again, can anyone depend on you? Are you reliable?

This is not to say you will be able to meet all the needs of those that look up to you or come to you. But dependable people do all they can to be there for others, especially where they have given their word.

People, who are dependable, have character. They keep their word and follow through on their commitments, even when it suddenly becomes difficult to do so. They do the right thing, even if no one else does, not because they think it would change the world, but because they refuse to be changed by the world. That also is Character.

So if you seek to build better relationships (personal and business) and be successful, you have to be dependable.
