Are you trapped in inordinate desires?, an adaptation of Open Heavens

Many are falling for the bait, lured by a sweet and generous offer used in sugar-coating a poisonous pill. Such offers come as a gift, a promotion, a job an appointment or a promise of greatness in one form or another. I have been there, and trust me, like all bait, it always looks attractive and desirable when confronted, but always a stepdown to one’s destruction. Sadly, sooner than later, you find yourself entrapped to do the bidding of your “benefactor”.

The rich and powerful of this world deploy this trick in getting what they want. They use the luxuries they can provide to entrap the less wealthy and venerable, who may feel obligated to do their bidding. Many victims of this scam have been disappointed, enslaved and sadly, some have lost their lives.
Those who are have insatiable appetites, seeking for luxurious lifestyle, are easily sucked in and entrapped by these predators. These bait is especially potent and effective at these times because we are in a world where instant riches, riotous living, exhibition of immorality and the pursuit of extreme pleasure have become attractive to people. Now, wealth and fame derived from corruption, gambling and drug trafficking are being celebrated. Values that used to be highly valued in society, such as integrity, diligence, moral principle and godliness, are now looked down on. Many now have a warped idea of what success really means.

I urge you not to fall for any of these deceptive proposals, because the rich and powerful do not give away their favors for free. They always ask for something in return, and their demand is usually greater than their initial investment.
And if you’re already trapped, it is never too late to turn back, no matter how long you have gone on the wrong road.

Take that step now and free yourself. Look for a responsible and trusted mentor to guide you through as you recover and refocus your life on the right values.
