Be There For Others, ALWAYS - The Charles Muli Story!
CHARLES MULI, from
Orphan to Kenyan Philanthropist
Mr. Muli is the man
who gave up all to bring up strangers’ children. Mr. Charles Muli is a
Kenyan who was abandoned by his parents at age 6. After attempts to end his
life due to the hardships he faced on the streets, he found hope one day in
Church. That visit began his journey to survival and living. He walked to
Nairobi, the capital of Kenya from his rural location in search of a
better life. This paid up on the long run, as he became very successful and
wealthy from hard and diligent work over time.
One day while in a poor neighbourhood, street kids stole his car. That incident suddenly led him to an appreciation of his true purpose in life. He was instantly reminded of his own past on the streets. He went on to sell off all his assets, and used the proceeds to cater for the needs of street children. He started by opening up his own home to let in these abandoned and misdirected children, a sacrificial move that restored their hope. Mr. Muli decided to comfort others, with the comfort he himself had received, which is the subject of my blog post this week.
